Yupo Corporation America chose Chesapeake, Virginia as the location for its North American manufacturing facility because of its central location on the East Coast of the U.S. The location selected also gives Yupo access to cost-effective, energy-saving rail transport of materials. Through extensive research and development, and our commitment to improved manufacturing techniques, we have been able to innovate many grades of synthetic papers and implement processes that are far cleaner than those associated with pulp paper manufacturing.

YUPO In-Mold Label Substrates – Packaging Innovations In Action.
Yupo Corporation exemplifies its global leadership with the research and development of its In-Mold Labeling (IML) substrates. The YUPO IML solution revolutionizes the packaging industry by providing a label option that actually becomes part of the product package design. This eliminates the backing materials, adhesives, and the tremendous amount of waste produced by heat transfer and pressure sensitive processes. And because YU PO IML substrates actually fuse with blow molded bottles, they become part of the product recycling stream for a 100% recyclable solution.
 Continued development of IML substrates has resulted in many subsequent grades that create added efficiency with specific bottle types:
- PP grade – designed specifically for polypropylene bottles
- UV grade – suitable for UV presses
- NEW Sustainable grade – promotes drastic source reduction and savings to supply chain

YUPOBlue is Yupo Corporation’s synthetic paper engineered and certified for use with HP Indigo printers. YUPOBlue allows for customized 1:1 and variable data printing, which permits shorter runs and none of the material waste associated with traditional offset printing.
