YUPO PARTNERS WITH DIMAPE BRAZIL

Partnership Improves Yupo’s Sales, Service in South America

(CHESAPEAKE, VA – April 9, 2010) The premium synthetic substrate manufacturer Yupo Corporation America has announced a new distribution partnership arrangement with DIMAPE Brazil.

Daiei Papers/DIMAPE will become Yupo’s official Latin America distribution partners and exchanges contact representatives between each company’s locations in Brazil and Chesapeake, Va. USA.  By the joining efforts with DIMAPE in Brazil, Yupo is improving service to the entire Latin market.

“This partnership is a direct result of the significant sales growth we’ve experienced in the Latin America market,” said Paul Mitcham, Yupo’s director of marketing and sales support. “We’re responding to the opportunity to expand the availability of Yupo products in this evolving marketplace.”

“DIMAPE is a highly knowledgeable source for YUPO products and we will have excellent representation on the continent providing service to local clients and manufacturers like never before,” according to Mitcham.

Mr. Mario Sergio Cappellari, of DIMAPE Distribuidora de Materias Primas, is the new Latin America representative for Yupo.  Mr. Cappellari will offer a direct contact in this market for Yupo sales and technical assistance working out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, (5511) 4193-4900; email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Yupo has also joined forces with a DIMAPE sister company in North America, DAIEI Papers (USA) Corp., and will offer service to this part of the world as a distributor.   Mrs. Louann Knapp, DaiEi Papers, will operate from Chesapeake, Va., offices; (757) 523-2100.

Yupo Corporation America has had a presence in the Latin America since 1996 and maintained a successful relationship with DIMAPE during that time, Mitcham explained.     Because of this success, Mitcham said it was a natural step to continue this effort when Yupo decided to grow its footprint there.

“South America continues to do very well for us, especially in the blow and injection IML markets,” Mitcham said.  “Despite the global economic slowdown, YUPO sales have remained strong in South America.”

Yupo’s lineup of synthetic papers – such as YUPO Accel, YUPO Original, YUPOBlue, YUPO Translucent – as well as in-mold (both blow and injection IML), pressure sensitive, direct thermal and thermal transfer label substrates, appeal to brand managers for a wide variety of creative design and commercial applications from marketing materials to merchandising elements to packaging solutions.

Yupo’s durability and fantastic graphics reproduction are well known, and sustainability benefits continue to be recognized and appreciated over other options.
